We are inexperienced DIY’s redoing a shower. My hubs is wanting the quickest, easiest as he is an electrician not a plumber. As you have probably figured that the wife (myself.. and I have cooked up a plan) But, we have learned alot on Youtube University. It boils down to this… I want to run a 22 inch rain shower and a handheld at the same time. We have 1/2 inch water lines already there. So, do you think I can run 2 at the same time? I have arthritis and would love to just sit there and be beat with hot water. Is there anything we can do that doesn’t take an engineer to achieve this? I am buying the new shower fixtures and it all decides on this. I know there are 3, 4, 5 and even 6 way valves but, they are pretty pricey. And you have less of a choice. Also, I know this sounds crazy but, why couldn’t we run 2 separate water lines to the shower and use 2 different styles of faucets? Yes, we would have 2 different water diverter ceramic things on the shower wall. I will skip the water sprays because I have had them before and it had very little pressure In my old house not this one. I am more interested in a waterfall faucet and handheld with a rain shower on the top or ceiling versus wall mounted. I know the gpm’s depend on some of this. But, I read on an older thread the max after it’s all said and done is like 4gpms. I will probably buy the 2.0 gpms. It depends on the hubs figuring out how to get thru the plaster ceiling that is filled with a plethra full of spray in installation. I already have a heater vent thing up there now. I know this is a dumb question but, I want this…lol Thank you in advance for having the patience to even consider answering this. Also, 1 more… what do you think about these shower towers? I get mixed reviews and I thought maybe I would be better with all separate faucets..
