Trying to identify faucet brand (and to find a replacement valve LOL)

Hi there, I have a shower faucet from around 1956. The valve has finally failed. Anyone recogize the brand or model? Its a cool design, and on the off chance the valve could be replaced it would be great.

maybe symmons? Could you post a picture showing a close up of the words on the center plate?
