I’m having a light nightmare with my toilet’s flush tower. A buddy had to help get the old one off that was leaking, it was on super tight. We finally got it off and installed the new part (THU469r-a), only problem is the mechanism that attaches to the flush lever is too big! This is the official replacement part for my toilet...Toto sent it to me and I have verified this is correct several times with them. This is being escalated to management bc the lower level workers have no idea what I’m talking about. It barely fits, but only at an angle and the flush lever is rotated out at an angle. What happens is full flush articulation can’t happen without holding it down for a while. And then it only stays attached for a day or two before falling off inside the toilet.

The old part was much smaller and fit perfectly! That was the THU421 I believe. Under my lid it says it was the THU412 but I believe this is a typo after having found the THU421 on their printed parts catalog from 2015. Mine was installed in 2014.

Am I missing something with the installation of the mechanism that attaches to the flush lever? I am out of ideas and very frustrated. Of course they sent no instructions on this and there is no help anywhere I’ve found online.

Thanks in advance.

Thx, ya we got it in already. That isn’t my problem, though. It’s about the mechanism that attaches to the flush lever. It’s too big…

Just wanted to update everyone on this, in case this happens to someone else. If the replacement part trip lever attachment doesn't fit, Toto will replace the toilet. Apparently the drilled hole is too close to the back of the toilet for the new THU469R-A trip lever attachment, for people that have the original cerca 2014 Ultramax II 1G models. They will send a new Ultramax II 1G with the hole drilled correctly, and compatible with Washlet + connections.

Sorry to bump this thread but I had a similar problem as the OP. I have a CST604CUFG. Emailed Toto and they said TH469r-A was the correct part. Faced similar problem with installation but what i did was take apart both flush cassettes and swap them out since the cable in the red sleeve matched. Worked for me.
