A recent article in STARS AND STRIPES states residents of Yokota Air Base may have to purchase Japanese toilet paper which is designed to dissolve faster than the American brands that are blamed for frequently clogging pipes. I, for one, suspect the real problem is the design &/or installation of the plumbing system. Still, there is something to be said for faster dissolving paper if it does not involve nasty chemicals and fingers are not prone to punching through it.

The prevelance and use of bidet toilets in japan may have something to do with it too. The TP i have at home is that style. Works fine in conjunction with the washlet seat.
