My old Braswell system needs to go. It was simple and fairly reliable but while I was away for the holidays the freezing weather split my media tank and killed the valve. Aquasure looks cool but I won't say that A word anymore. So where can I go to educate myself on choices and sources with Clack and Fleck? This is for a well system using a 948 tank. I'm going to send a water sample off this week for testing. BTW, since KER Labs is history for water testing is there an alternative?

Thanks.

Depends. Fleck 5600SXT is good. Fleck 5800SXT has some extra features, including higher potential throughput, but does not have as long of history. Clack WS1 is good but their restrictions mean that it will arrive to you with a big markup. On the other hand, the dealers like that because they are not competing with online sales.

Hard

Size: 9x48 is smaller than most, but may be right. Water hardness and number of people might warrant going to the more common 10x54 or bigger.

If city water, get 10% crosslinked resin.
