Old polyethylene has been just laying on the ground in vented crawlspace under the plastic. The new 3/4 PEX I'm running, should I attach to the joists and insulate from the ground up and attach to joists or should I run it under the plastic as it was? Never had a frozen line with the old line but has broke 3 times in the last year is the reason I'm replacing. Kept getting small pinhole leaks. I have some 3/4 pex hangers but wondered if it's even needed.
