I have 3 old 1/2” galvanized pipes coming through the floor in the closet in my laundry room.

The room is on a concrete slab and there is no access underneath the house where these pipes are ran.

Was wondering what would be my best options for cutting them level with the floor and resealing them. They are all under water pressure.

I considered cutting them flush then tapping the inside and putting in a plug but the plug will still stick up a bit. These pipes are no longer used and never will be so im wanting to refinish the flooring over them.

Thanks for any advise/opinions!

Where is the supply side of that pipe? You should not plug the output side of a potable water pipe, and leave the source connected.
