I purchased a warehouse outside of town that has no water. I cut a piece of concrete out in the corner, and used a post hole digger to dig down 8-10 feet. If I go deeper (12-15') I can hit thick clay. Water level is at 6-8 (visible), so the sand is collapsing into the hole. Sounds easy from here right, so I pushed a sand point in 3-4 feet below the water level and installed a shallow well pump, and no water.... The sand is clogging the point immediately. The Sandpoint is from amazon and doesn't have a filter size on it, but guessing it is the usual 80 gauze. Should I go with a plastic point with sliced openings .010", a 60 gauze metal sandpoint, or open to any suggestions. I'm worried if I go with the 60, then the sand will clog my pump. This water will be used to rinse hands off, maybe put a toilet in, etc... not drinking it. Its just frustrating having water visible, but not able to pump it up.
