Working on a kitchen remodel and the sink will be a single bowl 28" X 17.5" with a depth of 9" and set into a 36" sink base. The drain will be a standard right hand offset located 6" O/C from the right inside wall and centered front to back. There will be no disposal now or in the future. The faucet will be drilled into the solid surface counter top centered on the sink. So how would you rough this in? Should the drain pipe be centered on the offset drain or is it better to put it slightly to one side within range of the p trap swing? Seems like the supply should both go on the left of the drain pipe too?

Kitchen P-trap dimension suggestions. These numbers have some margin, and if any are going to be a problem, we can check more.

Put the center the trap adapter a minimum 5.5 in above the shelf. 6 inches or more below the bottom of the sink for a deep basket strainer. Since the center of the drain is over 6 inches from the wall, eve

Put the center of the trap adapter within 3.25 inches, left or right, of the center of the drain. 1.75 either way would be a good target IMO. Since the center of the drain is over 6 inches from the wall, even directly in line would be OK.

Thank You, that is a big help. Now to get the cabinet guy to commit on the center of sink base.

I made my wall cavity today for the plumbing, took out the inner brick wall and installed a lintel above. I had originally planned to go 2 courses higher but once I removed the plaster and saw there was a rowlock course at 16" and not wanting to mess with that I stopped at 16 and slipped the lintel in, then I wedged 2 pieces of pressure treated on the sides for nailers to support boards to fasten my stub outs to and to fasten my dishwasher outlet box to.

As you can see in the pic I have a range on the tape measure from 10.5" to 16" in which to install the trap adapter so I'll probably put it at 14" AFF which will be about 9" above the cabinet floor but won't leave room for a cleanout above. I could go lower and possibly slip in a cleanout, or put the cleanout low, or do a wye cleanout, or skip the cleanout altogether, what would you do? If I do a wye cleanout will it put the trap adapter too close to my tailpiece to fit the p-trap?

In case you're wondering about the vent, that whole wall is a glass picture window so the vent is in the adjacent wall.
