I'm considering Riobel R23 thermostatic and pressure balanced shower valve for a remodel to replace a Toto TSTA thermostatic valve. While Toto appears to make good valves, they're terrible about obsoleting designs and discontinuing parts. This is completely unacceptable for something as long-lived as plumbing.

I was considering Moen or Delta thermostatic valves, but they appear to be very plastic.

Rohl is a nice brand but can be problematic with long term performance and minimal customer support and limited warranty.
Major common brands like Hansgrohe, (Grohe in the old days, but now that Lixil bought them, not well supported), American Standard, moen and delta, pfister, kohler still have best lifetime warranty and customer support.

Thanks for the recommends!

Edit: The Hansgrohe thermostatic shower valve cartridge is solid plastic, while the Grohe is brass. I know there will always be some plastic parts in there, but . . .

Just to close the loop, I went with HansGrohe thermostatic valve. I really like how not only the cartridges, but the entire valve body is replaceable.
