Replacing kitchen sprayer - weird connection

I’m having trouble replacing my kitchen sprayer. I removed the old one but the connection to the faucet is weird. It’s a long white plastic piece that clicks in. I can’t figure out how to detach the plastic piece from the old sprayer hose to attach it to the new hose. Help.
