I am redoing my master bathroom and am in the process of replacing the subfloor. I have a few general plumbing questions and am hoping someone can help me.
1. I feel like it would be a good time to replace the toilet flange, since it is original from the 80s. My plan is to cut the 3” ABS, install a coupling, and then a new 3" riser through the subfloor. I would then cut it to the proper height once the tile is installed and then glue the new flange. I don't know if this is okay or if there is a better method I should use.
2. I noticed that the rough in is 13 3/8", which I know is a bit unusual. I'm going to either use a Toto Drake or Toto Aquia IV. I'm not sure if I should move it, or if I'm just creating more work than is necessary.
3. I have a Tile Redi shower pan that has a compression drain (I have no access from underneath). It's located in the same spot as the old drain, so I technically don't have to move anything. I do have to cut off the old drain and just have 2" ABS come through the subfloor. On the vertical section, I noticed that there is already a coupling from a previous repair, so I would need to install another one above this. I'm wondering if it would be better to make a cut in the horizontal section and just install a whole new trap and vertical riser.
Any other advice or suggestions would definitely be appreciated.
