I have a 10+ Hansgrohe Talis high arch
kitchen faucet. The hose is leaking. Do I need to order a Hansgrohe hose $60 or can I use a generic? Do big box stores HD or Lowes sell the generics? I suspect I need slide rings, the old one looks worn, but maybe will clean up w vinegar once leaking hose is fixed. I'm still using the original cartridge.

Or should I order a new faucet? another model of this one is about $250-$300 on Build.com. But then I need to hire someone to install it.
I like Hansgrohe because of the mostly metal spray head. I shopped a builder supply store yesterday so I could try out the new model almost all the faucets were ABS and felt flimsy.

The hoses wear out first on a pull down faucet. Pick up a new HansGrohe faucet and you will be back in business. There is no generic for Hansgrohe.

First make sure all connections are screwed tight. I would try calling Hansgrohe customer service. They might send you the parts you need for free. Grohe, although not the same company, has sent me many free parts, from the quick disconnects, soap dispensers, kitchen nozzles, etc. If they won’t help, Costco sells Hansgrohe faucets and routinely discounts them about every three months. They are the cheapest place to buy, but selection is limited.

Scroll down for phone number...

Thanks, I called today and they are sending a replacement hose for free. I watched a YouTube and think I can handle replacing the hose. I was expecting them to make a big deal about the receipt which I have, but can't find.

These connectors may be useful for you if you don't want to call a plumber. They're pretty easy to use, I used them to replace my kitchen faucet back in May and it made the job super quick for me. I hope this helps.

She asked about HansGrohe, not about Moen. Totally different faucet. Maybe a nice video but not what she has.
