I have a drain plug like just like the one in this video (
). I have followed the directions in the video and it still won't come out. When I pull on it to remove it, it sounds like metal hitting metal. Almost like there is a bolt in the end not letting the plug come out. There is no screw to remove anywhere. Any ideas?

With the stopper up to allow drainage and with a long nose set of pliers, place the long nose under the flange to force the flange up, then turn the knob. A screwdriver might also work.

Some of the stoppers, the knob on top of the flat piece comes unscrewed to reveal a slotted screw underneath.. That style you would lift half way and turn the knob in place

Here are 3 common lift and turn style stoppers and their methods of removal.
