I found an old thread that was the adapter and was going to reply but my system is different, same symptom and post was several years old. So starting a new one

I have a 2 line convertible well pump I believe it is called, 2 lines through the wall. Pump and tank are both in the basement. This am it wouldn't shut off or build more than 36 PSI. Gage holds when the pump is switched off. If it was my pitless adapter would the pressure bleed off as it leaked down or is there a check valve. Not sure where in the front yard the well is so would bite digging it up. Got to check it clogged sense line is cause

thanks

Probably not a leak. Most likely the venturi in the ejector is clogged or worn. It could also be the back pressure valve on the discharge of the pump. I would try adjusting the back pressure valve more closed as that would be the easiest fix. But if that doesn't help the two lines in the well will need to be pulled and replace the ejector. But If I pulled all that out I would go back with a submersible instead.
