Hi,
I have an outdoor spigot that leaks from between the packing nut and the valve stem when the water is turned on. I tried removing as much of the existing packing material as I could, then wrapping some new teflon rope around the stem 3 times. Unfortunately, it only made the problem worse. Should I use something else for packing, or should I just use more wraps of teflon rope? Attached are photos of the spigot and of the internals (before removing the packing).
