I have recently found an old 2" galvanized well casing on my property and it has a metal adapter on top with two holes , I believe the pump would bolt to the top of this plate .
I ran a string down the one hole in the plate , which I believe has a drop pipe attached to it inside the casing and I measured 77 ft long with water from the bottom 10 ft up on the string. The problem is I can turn the plate a little and it springs back like it has pressure twisting , but can't seem to lift it , Im guessing the inside pipe is stuck or really heavy , I'm guessing the leathers at the bottom of the drop pipe seal the drop pipe to the casing and they are tight .
Is there any company that makes a submersible pump that will fit down a 2" casing ? This well would be used to keep a 1/8 acre fish pond topped of hopefully .
