I recently started remodeling a room in a house I bought and found pipes behind a wardrobe....these pipes go through the second floor, first floor and through the basement I'm not sure what they were once used for but now they aren't connected to anything and are capped off I'll try and post pics...the house was built in 1910

What is the current heating system? The pipes may have been tied to a prior hydronic boiler heating system.

Would it be a safe bet to go ahead and cut/remove the pipes?
I would say so. It looks as if there was a sink on the 2nd floor at one time. The drain is capped and the other 2 pipes appear to be open on both ends. You can probably cut it all out and cap the drain in the basement. That being said I don't have eyes on it to confirm....just going from your pics.
