Hello all. havent exactly seen my situation here so Ive decided to ask before I go broke trying this.
Been using a 300 gl tank for 6 yrs up in northern maine , filling it every 7 - 10 days. getting a well drilled up here is God awful expensive.
Depth 420ft, 35ft of casing, advised to put the pump at 300. Did not have water until they hydro fracked it. 420ft dry hole through soli
its rated at 2gpm, The storage head is 250 ft.
my shopping list is a 10 gpm 2 wire 220vlt pump, 200psi black pipe, torque unit and a pitless being that I need to stay 5ft deep to avoid freeze .
all fittings will be brass or stainless inclusive of fitting clamps.
my worries/questions,
will I need more than one check valve? currently using a 20gl bladder tank which will remain inside the cabin. 2 filters cans 1 before and 1 after the bladder. The latter is high icron.
Mind you, I wish I wasnt on disability income, it stifles the high end stuff that would make this easy.
VA isnt all that generous these days. whatever you Folks here call out will be the way of it, if i have to save more to getter did, so be it.
THanks for the assist / advice and stay Blessed.

The Fossil.

I don't quite understand. You have been hauling water to a 300 gallon tank and now you have a well? If so, a 2GPM well will not supply a house directly, unless there is at least 100 foot of water standing in the well. If the well cannot recover fast enough to supply the house, the well pump should be used to fill the 300 gallon storage tank. Then a booster pump in the storage tank could be connect to a pressure tank and system to supply the house. Filters should be after the pressure tank either way.
