Running a new line from buried tank to house, then to oven and fireplace, its been awhile, we used to use the old blue glue along with tape, but I don't see the blue stuff we used to use so thinking 1/2" black pipe interior with Megaloc and yellow tape combo, tighten joints as tight as possible by hand then try to get a full turn ? Does this still apply to installs ? Also what should we use to go from tank to house, should we sleeve it in some pvc for protection ? Thanks in advance.

We ONLY use yellow PB underground with epoxy risers and tracer wire and warning tape as per code with push-fit fittings specific to the mfr. You should be certified before using poly underground. We stopped using epoxy or extruCoat long ago.
On threaded pipe interior/ext. we just use any HQ blue Teflon and any good name brand joint sealant to add a little lubrication as belt/suspenders.
I've never heard of "hand tight" plus one full turn. Tighten fully with large enough wrench. Test at 15 PSI with gauge.
See if your home insurance will allow DIY gas piping.

Whats the tracer wire for, yes I guess the yellow PB is the new stuff, last time our propane guy ran a line for us they used copper sleeved in plastic, yes the tightening I guess just crank it down, I just thought I remember someone saying too tight could split a fitting.
