I need to replace the tub spout pictured below because it leaks at the back end when water is turned on. However, the screw. Is rusted and NOTHING we’ve tried (screw driver, vice grips, ratchet) will make this budge. Have even sprayed all around with a lubricant. Please help.

With the setscrew, it's probably a push-on spout. So, don't try to turn the whole thing until you've loosened that screw or you'll gouge up the pipe, making it harder to get a new one to seal.

If you have a Dremel tool with a cutoff wheel, you should be able to cut away the bottom of the old spout fairly easily to expose more of the screw. Worst case, you could cut the spout carefully without getting to the pipe and work it from there.

Hey, wait a minute.

This is awkward, but...
