Hi, I was hoping someone could help please.

I have a Navien NPE-210s tankless water heater that is a little over 10 years old.

For several months now it has been doing this thing where when you turn on the hot water, it will make a clunking sound, and when it does, the water flow stops, then starts right back up again. It will repeat this a random number of times until it finally just stays flowing with hot water.

I have a youtube video of it here:

This has been getting worse.

I would like to be able to fix it myself if I could. The unit is out of warranty now. I tried contacting Navien and of course they said I have to hire a Navien authorized plumbing outfit.

Any help is appreciated, thanks!
