I have a Navien NR-240A at the house. I would like to use an external pump (Taco, ...) to run my recirculation loop. The reason is that I like to have motion sensors around the house (wireless) where it trigger the recirculation demand based on a set of rules... instead of a schedule. I used a similar logic at my previous house with GREAT success (never waited more than 2 seconds for hot water).
So here is my question:
I plan to setup the Navien in "External" mode and add a pump just outside of the recirculation inlet. Will this work? (I mean pushing water through the "internal" pump?)
I know this is VERY convoluted but I don't want to replace the unit and I already have the pump and motion sensors handy. (I don't need help with the motion sensor logic... this I got!) I just need to know if "pushing" water into the "recirculation" inlet will damage anything.
