Hello,

We are looking at installing a tankless hot water heater and two companies quoted two different models. Can anyone recommend one model over the other in terms of use, maintenance, repairs, etc.?

Thank you in advance for your help.

The 'A' series is equipped with an internal recirculation pump and buffer tank.

Even if your home is not equipped with dedicated recirculation loop, recirculation internally within the WH will maintain the temperature of the water within the buffer tank which will reduce the time before hot water is supplied to faucets and will also reduce the occurance of 'cold water sandwich' to faucets.

Even without the home being equipped with a dedicated recirculation loop, some install an optional Navien NaviCirc device to reduce the time for hot water to arrive to distant faucets. NaviCirc will allow the pump to utilize the home's existing cold water piping as the recirculation return path back to the WH.
