Both of my bathrooms are above my garage. At random times when taking a shower, I find pools of water on my garage floor. I can see all the plumbing in the ceiling of my garage and cannot determine the cause of the leak. It doesn’t leak when taking a bath, only when showers are taken. And it doesn’t leak when running the shower with no one standing in the tub. I’m at wits end. Suggestions? I am married to a plumber and even he is stumped. He has checked all connections and changed out shower heads and plumbing fixtures.

Check the gouting. Day 2: Place a stopper in the drain, fill the shower pan with water, leave it over night THEN let it all out
Also, if you're testing the shower base/drain, pour 5 gallons of water in so as not to get any tiles on the walls wet
Try capping the shower arm, turn on the water, as it may be a tiny leak from the threads inside the wall
