Monticello Handle Hub Just Spins - Need to Extract

I have been fixing the cartridges for the MOEN Monticellos that came with my house. However, when the handle for the cold water fell off for my Tub, I thought it would be as simple as removing it and re-tightening the screw. Not the case. The Hub is just spinning... and won't come out.

Thank you... I thought of it... But I would have to remove the whole bottom/side panel of the jet tub wich is caulked/sealed... Basically more than my skills can afford. Any thoughts of why it's stuck that way? Did i miss a step? The other handle was a cake to fix....
