Hi,

I have a Mastercraft 3/4hp Cast Iron Convertible Jet Pump - it pumps water from our lake. I set everything up as I normally do 2 days ago and everything worked fine. The unit itself is 9 years old.

Tonight, I noticed water pressure dropping and when I went to check on the pump, the PSI had dropped from 50 to 10 and it was not kicking in.

I've verified there is power going to the unit and the line is still filled with water (from what I can see).

I haven't checked the foot valve to see if it is stuck? In which case if it is my water would be draining out no?

Any suggestions on what else I could try?

Thank you.

Hi there - thanks for the response, it turns out it was a bad switch. After 9 years, it died.

I bought a new one, replaced it, had to figure out how to adjust it and it worked.

Thanks for responding - Greg.
