I just installed a backflow preventer. I replaced the galvanized lines with copper to avoid corrosion issues.
These pipes then connect with PVC used for irrigation in the yard.
I'm wondering if the mechanical stress will be OK with the arrangement shown in the two images. The output copper line is connected to the PVC via a schedule 80 nipple, elbow, and small pipe. The connections are threaded. One picture is zoomed out to show the whole system, the other is a zoom-in around the copper to PVC transition. There is quite a bit of redundancy with the number of ball valves, but I had them in place already so I just left them there.
Thanks for any feedback.
