Our home currently does not have an irrigation system. We wanted to connect pvc to the 1/2" threaded pipe that comes out of the back of our house. It is threaded for a hose bib. I am wondering if it is possible to irrigate our small yard using this method, or if we should go to the expense and hassle of tapping into the water main at the front of the house? We live in south Florida. We will be mainly watering potted plants and some trees. Our yard is pretty small. Probably won't have any lawn.

Been using a timer for my garden for years. There battery operated and have different attachments from spray head to drip to soaker. Walmart carries them as well as amazon. Batteries last all season.
