Iron Filter Air in pipes

My newly installed clack 1.5cf iron filter adds air to my water lines for few hours of use after a backwash. So much so I think it affects my shower pressure balance valve. As we can almost not get water cool enough to shower. Wonder if I should reduce filter air draw fill time?

Air in the lines is not good. Most systems that aerate the water also use an Air Volume Control of some kind to release the excess air.
