Installed Delta Universal Rough-In , can I use moen tub spout on it?

I'm new to this, but assumed everything would be easy-peasy. Googled that Delta / Moen are typically the preferred plumbers products to go with. So I got delta trim kit, and rough-in. Well, the tub spout that got sent to me, is PLASTIC! CHEAP! and come to find out, there's not really many options offered through Delta for tub spouts with diverters matching my other trim kit (circular/round). So..... I like moen tub spout... can I use those on the rough-in? I read that there's an adapter? Thoughts? Just suck it up and use the plastic tub spout?

you are not locked into a manufacturer when shopping for tub spouts or shower heads. You can do anything you want. Be aware colors (except chrome) differ from manufacturer to manufacturer. So Brushed nickel from Delta is not the same as brushed nickel from Moen etc...
