Inside Unit Keeps Running

AC has been running great. I replaced the flex gas line from the inside with a rigid iron pipe. Re-started system and it was running normally. About a week later I replaced the receptacle from a 2 prong to a 3 prong. Luckily there was a bare wire present and receptacle tester gave two lights for correctly wired. When I plugged in the inside unit it started running even though TStat was still off, and outside unit remained off. I turned on Tstat, let both units run for a few minutes, turned it off TStat but inside unit kept running. It totally ignores the Tstat, just keeps running. The outside unit responds normally to Tstat setting. On the furnace board there's normal 24vac voltage between R and C wires when Tstat turns on. I used an extension cord plugged in the kitchen, plugged in the inside unit and same behaviour, it started running immediately. TStat's still off. I have looked over and over but all wires are plugged back in snuggly. Any ideas where I can T/S?

Do you have power between the R and one of the other non-C terminals that connects to the thermostat?

Take a pic of the wiring diagram. Check thermostat that the fan is set to auto and there is no power on G to C.at the furnace have to push to door switch in.
