I was hoping to get some help from a pro to replace the tub faucet in our old house. I am replacing the single handle tub/shower unit in this photo with a two-handle faucet (no shower) unit in the style with the spigot also out front that can also be installed on a clawfoot tub. Here is the unit I am installing:

The photo is from the back (hole cut in wall). There is old 3/4" plywood with backer board and ceramic tiles. I will be installing waterproof tiles over that (not ceramic).

My question is how you would recommend installing PEX supply lines. I was considering two two drop ear elbows, but those install from the front, don’t they, as in the shower head? (Which this installation won’t have.) Is there another way to secure the PEX from the back of the 3/4" plywood? It needs 1/2" female NPT for the two faucet fittings to be installed from the front. Thank you so much for any expertise you could offer me.
