I have an iSpring WSP100ARJ-BP spin-down sediment filter directly after my pressure tank on well system.

The filter supports such a massive flow-rate that the backwash cycle is like a firehose.

I'm wondering what options the experts recommend for draining such a high volume of water into a standard 6" floor drain.

Well system pumps around 15-20gpm

I currently have a 3/4" PVC line coming out of the sediment filter. Should I just add an inline PVC ball valve to reduce the flow and allow it to drain easier? This would give me control over the amount needed to successfully backwash filter?
