Hello everyone,
I bought an old homestead that had burned down with a 2" well with a right angle jet pump adapter that hasn't been used in a very long time. I hooked up a jet pump and pressure tank, primed the system and I had a crazy amount of suction but no flow. Thinking the point was plugged I attempted to pull out 1 1/4" well pipe that was inside of the 2" pipe. It was very tight at first then went concerning very easy. I pulled out a 20 ft straight section of 1 1/4 with a bell reducer and a 6" stub of 1" pipe. Using fiberglass chimney sweep sticks I was able to feel something solid still in the well at about 26 ft. Endoscope revealed it's a longer section of 1" pipe (possibly pulled the threads out of a union explaining the full threaded 6" nipple?). Water level appears to be approximately 27'. I'm not sure how to remove the broken off pipe or could I drive it down into the well? All of the extractors I've seen online go through much larger diameter pipe than the 2" pipe I'm working with. Thank you.
