Ok, I posted here a couple months ago and got lots of excellent advice. We are having pump trouble again -- surging and rapid cycling. The system is pretty messed up -- I won't go into details, but we are going to pull the submersible pump and build a flow inducer. That might help the surging if its sucking air.
But the rapid cycling is more a function of the tiny pressure tank wedged into the 12" well casing (no well house). I am convinced we need a "cycle stop" or constant pressure valve.
I would put in the line just under the frost free connection, as in the instructions.
But 50 versus 60 psi? I don't get how to decide which one.. Looking at the CSVS125 valve.
