I am trying to add a separate mixer valve to a shower that will be used for washing dogs. It will be mounted down low with a hand-held sprayer. I am looking for a mixer valve that has a single handle with both temp and volume control so I believe that I need to avoid pressure balancing. I like the look of the “Grohe 19549002 Eurodisc Cosmopolitan” but am struggling to figure out which trim, valve and rough in box I need.

Could someone point me in the right direction of what I need? It doesn’t need to be this specific trim and it actually don’t even need to be Grohe, but I would like it to look similar to the Grohe smartcontrol that will also be installed in the shower.

1. There is no more non-pressure balancing shower valve sold.
2. For temp and vol. you need a thermostatic shower valve. Delta 1700 series is a low cost choice compared to Grohe.

Thanks for the information, they must be clearing out old stock on the Grohe trims as they are still for sale on Amazon but I wasn't able to figure out what rough in I would need for it.

I will check out the Delta units but I was really hoping to find something that had both temp and volume control on a single handle. For this application (dog washing) having a sprayer that operates like a kitchen faucet seems like it would work really well.

Thanks again,

Based off this site:

When you click on the PDF, it shows what looks like the mixer part number, 35 501

Which returns this:

When you Google "Grohe 35501", you also get hits like:

Granted I've never used the site. But maybe searching some more you might find what you need.

Thanks for digging into this, I tried to go down this same rabbit hole but got lost along the way. Everything seems to point to non US stuff or discontinued stuff. I was hoping this would work with one of the current rough in boxes (Rapido or Groflex) but it doesn't look like it will work with those. Thanks again for the links.
