Hello,
Between the time I received it, and my contractor installing the Grohflex dual function shower valve, the rubber gasket on the back of the black plastic mounting plate (the plate onto which the chrome escutcheon attaches) went missing, and I fear it was thrown away.

The gasket itself is not available, so I would have to buy an entire new old stock unit on eBay for $$.

I never saw the gasket in person, but I think it is round (hollow) and is compressed between the plastic backing plate and the tile.

Is there an alternative?
If caulk, what type
If gasket material, which seems to be cheap and readily available, links would be helpful. There seems to be a lot of this material available in the $10 range, and I need less than a foot.

Attached are photos of the plate installed, and also of the gasket from seller before it was shipped.

Thanks, Doc
