Good submersible sump pump. Ridgid rusted immediately.

I had an emergency and went out and bought a Ridgid 1/3 HP submersible from Home Depot because they had good reviews. My failed Everbilt 1/2HP tether style lasted est. 10-15 years. (I first looked at the Everbilt aluminum vertical style float but didn't like how cheap the float system looked- to my untrained eye) Anyway, I picked up the Ridgid and It works nice, quiet and with a smallish 4-5" range, BUT.... the stainless steel housing started rusting immediately. This picture shows the Ridgid at 5 days old and it's coming up past 10 days now. I know it's rust because I've had real stainless parts in that pit for decades and they never rusted or turned orange The rust spots on the black cast iron impeller housing don't bother me as much, but on the stainless? These Ridgids are made by Wayne.

So I'm returning this to HD but not sure what else to buy. I need to get a replacement in place before I return the Ridgid. I was considering the Zoeller M53 from Fergusons as opposed to the more plasticy Zoellers from Lowes, but I heard of people having a hard time getting Zoeller to honor their warranty. Did Zoeller ever resolve their switch problems? Any other pumps to consider in the stores locally (New Jersey) or does anyone know anything about Zoeller warranties from experience? Thanks!

(I first posted this thread in the Pumps and Tanks Well Forum... but I think it's more appropriate here.)

Zoeller is not a company that will not warranty self-installed products, as is Aprilaire, for example.

There is a Where-to-buy button at the top.

I have no relevant experience

I got it. Thanks. There's only 3 official Zoeller stores in the entire state of NJ and none are close. (Ferguson's isn't even listed) I guess the Zoellers from Lowes are an exception. That's crazy. Between possible warranty issues and switches going bad, it's not to enticing.

I wanted to buy something locally and get it done, but it says delivery by Tuesday which isn't bad. Did you ever deal with this company? Easy to return something if this is damaged from being shipped on it's head? Even so, it would still be more of a hassle when I need something quick.
