I am installing natural gas lanterns in 2 brick pillars at the end of my driveway. I was planning on running 1/2 inch polyethylene from outside meter to the base of each pillar (below grade). The pillars are approx 3 ft x 3 ft brick. My plan was to drill through top of each pillar and install 1/2 inch flexible PVC conduit and bring the conduit out one side below ground level and maybe run 3/8 schedule K copper tubing through conduit to each light mount on top. My biggest concern is how to I transition from 1/2 inch polyethylene to copper below ground level. I was going to flare the copper tubing connections. Any ideas? Appreciate any insight
