I have a Fleck 5600SXT water softener that was installed about 8 years ago. I am on a city water with no pre-filters and water is chlorinated. Recently, the pressure in my faucets is so low that you cannot take a shower or use two faucets at the same time. When the bypass is on, the water pressure is back to normal so it points that the issue is within the water softener. I took the bypass and turbine part of the inlet/outlet and cleaned them out. Water flows thru those just fine. I also took the control box off the resin tank and checked the resin. It doesn't look mushy but I don't have a new one to compare to. The level of resin mixed with water was all the way up to the top of the resin tank.

Is there anything else I could check before spending few hundred dollars on a new resin?
