I tried posting earlier, but it never appeared. My energy supplier installed a propane tank and line to my fireplace. Everything is pressure tested and inspected. I wanted to install the burner plate and log set myself, but I am unable to remove the plug at the end of the galvanized fitting, I need to connect the flex pipe and was wondering if that plug needs to come out and be replaced with some sort of adapter or does the galvanized fitting get removed completely and flex pipe hook directly up to the copper connection?
