Fill Valve Noise

I put in a new Korky fill valve about 6 weeks ago. All was fine but in the last few days I have started noticing some humming noise as can be heard in the video - at first it was making the noise at the very end of the fill cycle, now it seems to make it mid-point of the cycle and continue through the cycle, which I assume is a sign of things getting progressively worse. If need be I have no problem returning the valve and replacing it, especially since it is only 6 weeks old. Just want to confirm it isn't something else.

The water supply to most fixtures is a valve that is used for throttling .

Just close the valve slowly as the tank is filling and when the humming stops leave the valve in that position

Everything I have read in this forum and others says valves should be fully open. Plus why would this start after years of being in the open position on this toilet? Seems far more likely to me that the fill valve is the issue.

A gate valve it is used as a positive shut off. A GLOBE type is for reducing VOLUME (throttling) to control the GPM or other mediums such as steam.

Pressure changes over time especially in NYC where they are replacing water mains installed in the early 1800's and when a CI water main is replaced due to mineral deposits that act like hardening of the arteries from FAT reducing the volume /pressure

This is a standard angle valve - pretty sure it doesn't do any throttling. And I'm not in NYC and our municipal water mains are not anywhere near that old.

I Would love to see a GATE Angle valve If your saying angle valves are not for throttling
