Hello!

Removed old 4" CI; head knocker plus bad plumbing. Attached pic is my proposed new rough drain. Far right is toilet 3" to 4" closet elbow. 2nd from right vertical is my 2" to lav (wet vent) & vent to roof. Curl & p trap is my tub. Big pipe is my 3" to sewer, converting to 4" in back of pic, out of house.

The very far back is a 2" going out of house from kitchen with it's own vent.

Everything good or issues? Anything overkill? I'm in South Chicago burbs btw.

Thanks All!!!

Are you in Cook County? Is PVC pipe now allowed? It wasn't back in the 80's but the local union always made a big stink that PVC is bad in a fire when any group tried to lobby city alderman to change the code. Iron pipe was only allowed at that time. It was the same for electrical work, everything had to be in metal conduit.

It appears your going through a major remodel, even your support post can be questionable by an inspector but with this amount of work you should hire a licensed plumber and pull a permit. The problem is not your work but in the future if you decide to sell the home, a savvy home inspector may notice problems and the home buyer may ask for signed off permits. It will be worth it and he/she will know if your routing is good to your local code and have them do all the final fitting and glueing.

The lav run in 2" wet vents the shower and the toilet.
The run for the shower, to be vented needs to rise at a 2% grade from where you pull it off. That's 1/4" per foot. Higher than that and you lose the venting.

Ha, that's a temp jack post. Crooked county allows PVC in houses, even smaller buildings, specifically I'll leave to the pros.

Terry: thx for reply! Yes my 1st wye off 3" is a 2" takeoff for wet vent to lav & roof. Other wye is 2" from wet vent PVC to 1.5" takeoff to tub. So if I keep 2% is everything good? Thanks!
