Recently I had all of the windows in my condo replaced. Anderson did a great job and I'm pleased with the result. All three windows had a simple drywall window sill and one of them has some minor damage to it (see attached). I'd like to have some sort of solid surface window sill installed and have been looking at either quartz or Corian. While researching these options I stumbled across Window Sills Direct. The product seems very tempting as I could get precise laser measurements of each window sill, send it to them and have them manufactured and shipped to me. My question is, if I did this can Corian be directly installed atop drywall, and if so what would I use to do it? If not, what alternatives are out there?
