As I was reading through some of the threads here I couldn't find the answer I was looking for, so since you all are much more familiar with this stuff I thought I would register and see if you could help. I am a retired home builder by trade, and only do simple plumbing projects.
So, I am in the process of building a barn on the property and have ran a 1" Black Poly Water Line down to it. It is 300' of ADS Poly Flex 1" CTS SDR 9 at 250 PSI. I ran the line to the closest underground line possible to connect to. I found it to be similar in size but the inside diameter is slightly different. After exposing several feet the existing poly is a Silver Line IPS SIDR, and my research seems to indicate that it is a 1" but different standard. Is there a way to connect the two using a barbed fitting, or other type of connection that will hold up under the pressure?
