I'm trying to remove a toilet cistern so that I can replace the flush valve.

Most of the instructions Ive seen have a modern flexible connector for the fill inlet as it enters the cistern base. Unfortunately I seem to have some tightly coupled copper nut arrangement on the exit side of the incoming isolating valve where it connects fulsh to the underside of the cistern.

Any advice on how to disassemble? See attached images.

I can't see how this can be disassembled without having the entire cistern free from the wall whilst unscrewing the coupling (where the ptfe tape is visible). Is this the case or am I missing something?
