That is just one of the many problems you will have with the Scala. They are designed to look cool and be easy to install, because you will need to install a new one on a regular basis. They are made to make money for the pump company, which means they are designed to cost you a lot of money over and over again. They are just not dependable. When you get that much electronics in a water pump they have too many chances of having problems. A simple pump system is the best way to make sure water comes out of the faucets when opened.
You can keep replacing the Scala every few months or maybe every couple years if your lucky. Or you can use a regular jet pump and a PK1A kit to control it, and have a pump system you won't have to touch for 30 years.
