Can I add a standpipe for my washer or am I stuck draining into the sink?

Hello everyone,
I’m a new homeowner and I could REALLY use some advice on how to properly plumb a laundry sink and a washing machine standpipe in my basement. Since buying the house, I’ve discovered that the previous owners took a number of shortcuts with the plumbing and lots of other things as well.

Basement has an existing sink (left side of the photo) and the previous setup had the washing machine draining into the sink. I’d like to put my washer and dryer on the adjacent wall (around the corner to the left of where the sink is) and install a standpipe on that wall instead of taking my chances with a lengthy discharge hose to the sink and long supply lines.

What I need the most guidance on:
1. Standpipe Installation: I’m pretty clear on how the pipe itself needs to be set up (pipe height, length, trap, vent) but not so much on how it actually ties into the main drain line.

2. Existing Sink Setup: I have my doubts that the current connection of the sink to the main drain line is actually correct. But if it IS ok as is, is it possible to have the new standpipe and the sink both connect to the main drain line at the same place the sink does currently? What would that look like?

The attached photo shows the main drain lines and where the sink currently connects. Any help, tips, or advice… I’ll gladly take it all :)

Many many many thanks!

Looks like the sink drain is back-pitched and not vented.

Not connected in a good place, as in case of a main stoppage, all the feces and other crap will pour out of the sink
