In a recent nasty storm we got 3 1/2 ft of water in our cellar. The cost of repairing the furnace, just a few years old was $1600. I looked into a cobia jacket that's a flexible sheath 4ft tall that goes under the furnace but it doesn't seem to be solf anymore. The cost of raising the furnace is nuts. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Shalom Ken,
Have you considered placing a concrete housekeeping slab under the furnace?

Also, how about a sump pit with a battery backup and dual sump pumps: one battery-operated and the other conventional

I installed a duplex system to prevent floods like this building had. There are other brands out there .
